Apartment Living
We lived in apartments for significant portions of our decade living in the USA. I actually loved apartment life for a few reasons:
- amenities such as pool and gym
- no yardwork
- no snow shoveling
- maintenance is done by staff
I think there are a few important tips to share about apartment living though:
- Minimalist living is a must (don't hoard things you don't use/need)
- If possible pay for an undercover parking spot
- Try to find an apartment with no steps from the parking lot to the door or with an elevator
- Make sure the washer and dryer are a decent size
- Invest in effective storage (baskets, bins, shelving etc)
