Thrifted Home Decor

Thrifted home decor is going through a revival and becoming almost mainstream! Yay! But so many of the social media posts devoted to this concept share the same types of items; vases, baskets, wood bowls, mirrors, art. Think outside the box, look at everything and consider what items will add pizzazz to your space.

A couple of months ago I thrifted this vintage sewing machine to display in my sewing room:

I can't wait to unpack it once our shipping container arrives at our new Australian home. I have about a dozen other vintage machines and can't wait to figure out how to display them.

Here's a few things you could thrift as home decor:

- Books and bookends

- Unique coffee cups to display

- Old kitchenware (e.g. rolling pin collection as wall decor)

- Records/singles as wall decor

- Purses/hats as wall decor!

So be creative, allow yourself to be drawn to items you love that might seem weird to others.
